About Us

Transforming farming with technology, research, and sustainability for a resilient agricultural future.

Harvesting Innovation

agroTT begins delivering on its agri-tech promises:

  • Launch of the agroTT Platform and App

  • agroTT Farm Companion App for crop and livestock producers

  • Caribbean Agricultural Health Inspection System (CAHIS)

All born from innovation, collaboration, and commitment to strengthen the Caribbean agricultural sector.

The Launch

With limited resources in the Caribbean but an unstoppable vision, agroTT was launched. Born from innovation, agroTT set out to modernize agriculture and create a collaborative ecosystem for regional transformation.

Published groundbreaking paper: “A chitinase CsChi23 promoter polymorphism underlies cucumber resistance…” in New Phytologist, later highlighted in China’s academic space. The technology was patented, validating the science behind agroTT.

Rooting Connections

The framework for agroTT began to take shape. Industry connections were made to build partnerships across agriculture, science, and tech. Laying the foundation for future growth in the region.

The Seed of Innovation

During his PhD research, Dr. Ezra Bartholomew successfully gene-edited cucumber to resist Fusarium oxysporum, discovering the gene and pathway responsible. The idea to bring gene-editing technology to Caribbean agriculture was planted.

Breeding for the Caribbean: Climate-Resilient Crops

Our ongoing collaboration with a leading Chinese biotech company is the foundation of our Caribbean-focused crop improvement program. Together, we are developing seed varieties that can thrive in our unique climates and soils. Bred for resistance to heat, drought, and local pests and diseases.

What we’re building:

  • A seed bank of modern, high-performing varieties for regional farmers.

  • A molecular breeding pipeline that turns research into real-world results.

  • Field trials and farmer partnerships to ensure every seed meets real Caribbean needs.

Our first resilient seed varieties are expected to bear fruit in 2030. This program marks a powerful shift: from importing agricultural solutions to creating them right here at home.

Smart Hydroponics: Growing More with Less

At agroTT, we believe the future of agriculture in the Caribbean lies in efficiency, sustainability, and control. Our upcoming Smart Hydroponic System is designed to make farming more accessible and resilient, with no soil, no guesswork, and no limits.

As we prepare to launch, we are focused on:

  • Making automated, app-controlled growing a reality for homes, schools, and small-scale farmers.

  • Reducing water usage by over 80% while maximizing yield.

  • Integrating AI-driven insights that guide every stage of plant growth.

This system isn’t just technology. It’s a tool for food security, urban agriculture, and a new generation of growers across the region.
